About Shibani Joshi

Shibani Joshi brings a breadth of talent and expertise to her clients in media, technology and career development.  She combines her unparalleled experience across a range of sectors including TV broadcasting, corporate strategy and investment banking with her purpose-driven approach to deliver value, communicate ideas strategically and empower her audiences. 

For more than a decade, Shibani has been helping companies deliver targeted messages and increase engagement by hosting events and leading conferences. She has worked with companies including Comcast Business, KPMG, Google, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Mastercard, SAP, T.Rowe Price and others to create memorable experiences for clients while building traction towards goals.

Shibani excels at bringing energy and polish to in-person and virtual conferences. She has moderated events for CNBC, the WSJ CIO Forum and Fast Company.

As a journalist, she provides regularly commentary on business, technology and lifestyle topics. She has covered business, technology and general news as a TV reporter for global media outlets including ABC News, CNBC, Fox Business and more.

Shibani anchored a daily markets show and had her own dedicated technology segment on TV called “Joshi on Tech” on the Fox Business Network in New York City. In her almost 6-year tenure, she evolved into the dedicated on-air technology reporter at both Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

She reported extensively live on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq. She sourced many exclusive interviews with large cap tech CEOs and executives from companies including Apple, Qualcomm, Google, Sony and Ebay. She has also interviewed execs from Twitter, Uber, Dropbox, Rent the Runway and Angie’s List in their early stages.

In her coaching work, Shibani leads career programs and provides executive career coaching to alumni at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, focused on mid-career transitions, returning from career breaks and professional re-alignment and exploration. 

Her business perspectives comes from a mix of real-world corporate experience and a distinguished business education. After graduating with a double major in finance and accounting, she began her career on Wall Street, working as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York City where she focused on corporate finance and M&A projects.

Joshi later moved onto Disney/ABC Media Networks, where she contributed to developing the firm’s global strategy as Senior Manager of Digital Strategy.

In 2014, she created ShibanionTech.com, a blog focused on stories at the intersection of lifestyle and technology. She later launched Boldly-Forward.com to share her personal essays on balancing a life of excellence with personal growth.  Her groundbreaking essays have been featured on Elle.com. Her personal writing and ideas on working women and empowerment themes make her an in-demand keynote speaker. 

A strong advocate of education, Shibani has developed a course entitled “Strategic Leadership Communications” for the University of Oklahoma’s Executive MBA program at the Price College of Business.

Additionally, she additionally sits on the Board of Advisors for the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma, her alma mater, and served as a Trustee to The Children’s School in La Jolla, California.

Shibani holds an MBA from The Harvard Business School. She currently lives in the Bay Area with her 3 children.
